CAN THE KING’S COLLEGE HOSPITAL NURSES’ LEAGUE HELP YOU WITH FUNDING FOR PROFESSIONAL UPDATING OR A COURSE?

The King’s College Hospital Nurses’ League awards grants of varying value up to £1500. Some have a specified focus requested by the benefactors, or linked to their area of practice as indicated below.

GRANTS:

Ann Baker: For League members whose study will enhance the profile of King’s Nurses

I.C.S.Brown: Focuses on the development of clinical expertise, rather than pure research

Sister Judith: This can run over a 2 year period

Cathy Stretton: Aims to reflect her interests in First Aid, Accident and Emergency and Community work

Cyril and Cathy Stretton Scholarship: This is for postgraduate study in areas of First Aid, Accident and Emergency and Community

Anne Wildenberg Scholarship: For paediatric nurse continuing education

Educational Grants Trust General Fund: Any continuing education, including conferences, that is not covered by the above.

Applicants for all grants must be current members of the King’s College Hospital Nurses’ League.

Successful applicants are required to write a brief résumé of their funded course/conference for the following year’s journal.
